Rostov NPP: power unit No.1 has been shut down for scheduled preventive maintenance
On April 10, 2011 power unit No.1 of Rostov NPP was shut down for 55 days of scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with the “Schedule for Repair of Russian Nuclear Power Units in 2011”, approved by the authorities of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSV.

On April 4, hundreds of Kurchatov citizens participated in the solemn rally, dedicated to the 85-th anniversary of First Chief Engineer of Kursk NPP, Deputy Director of Research, laureate of USSR State and Lenin Prize Tom Petrovich Nikolayev. His relatives, friends and comrades gathered near the Memorial Plaque and his house.
