Work with younger generation is an important aspect of Rosenergoatom JSC social policy. Young employees cannot be recruited unless they have access to good working and recreation conditions, and a wide range of social security services.

 

Activities and programmes under the youth policy seek to:

 

  • promote the next generation’s role and creative initiatives in business management and improvements in production
  • processes, promoting safety culture;
  • create favorable conditions for young employees to continue their education and occupational skills;
    improve social and housing conditions;
  • create a mechanism to control, enforce and monitor the youth policy;
  • create necessary administrative and economic conditions to develop creative ability and organize young people’s leisure;
  • create conditions to promote youth movements, and maintain contacts between young employees at Rosenergoatom and other businesses and organizations.

Work with educational institutions in the areas of NPP presence includes career consulting for high-school students, and support of target-oriented education of students, organization of academic competitions and contests. For example, the Rosenergoatom is involved in annual vacancy fairs for students of specialized institutions of higher education, offering internships and apprenticeships at nuclear plants. Among the unique projects are educational projects for schoolchildren, such as the Children’s Nuclear Academy at Kola NPP, Atom Classes, a lecture cycle "My Profession" for high school students at Leningrad NPP, and others.


 

Programs for young employees of the Rosenergoatom seek to create conditions for efficient work and to help developing creative potential. Key directions to support young specialists are as follows:

 

  • A system of adaptation, training, and mentoring for young specialists
  • Youth organizations in science and technology, occupational training, social activities and sports
  • Additional higher education and advanced training programs
  • "Housing for Youth" project
  • Plans for career growth and development of management skills.
