The Rostov NPP: power unit ?3 included into network after repair works

The power unit ?3 of the Rostov NPP, which is in pilot operation, was included into the network after repair works on September 15, 2015, at 18:38.

Recall, that the power unit ?3 was disconnected from the network and shut down for repair works on tower evaporative cooler in accordance with an application, agreed with the Joint Dispatch Control Centre after power systems of the South and the operating organization JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", on September 14 at 22:00.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. The power unit ?3 physical launch was in November 2014, energy launch - in December 2014. The power unit ?4 is being constructed.
