On the eve of the Victory Day Smolensk NPP took part in all Russian teleconference bridge of Rosenergoatom Concern devoted to the 66th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The event was held in the form of a meeting of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the workers of the rear with Rosenergoatom workers. The Heads of the Concern, Directors of all the Russian NPPs, representatives of trade unions’, veterans’ and youth organizations of nuclear plants took part in it as well. Executive General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern Vladimir Asmolov conducted the teleconference bridge.

The Heads of the departments and subdivisions headed by the plant Director took part in the event as representatives of Smolensk NPP. The representatives of the Assembly of the War and Labor Veterans of Desnogorsk city, headed by Chairman Igor Zhuravlyov, were invited to participate in the teleconference to the nuclear plant conference hall.

Smolensk NPP Director Andrey Petrov in his appearance congratulated the veterans on the Victory Day: “We understand very well by whose merits the victory was reached. The main thing for us, our children and even grandchildren to remember about it even a century hence. I would like to say thank you to each of you as a hero, as a man who is a wonderful example of the service to Motherland, gave away everything for the great Victory to be achieved. This is the holiday of our State force and dignity, the sacred memory and pride for its people and army”.

Igor Zhuravlev congratulated the participants of the meeting with the celebration, wished everyone good health, vivacity of spirits and as well of courage and cohesion possessed by the veterans. He also thanked Smolensk NPP administration and staff for the permanent assistance and support rendered to the veterans of Desnogorsk.

The War participants expressed their wishes and parting words to the young generation. After the solemn part had been over, the veterans were given presents as a sign of deep gratefulness for their deeds in the years of the Great Patriotic War, a general memory picture was made.
