Leningrad NPP: power ?3 operating normally

The 3rd power unit of the Leningrad NPP was connected to the united power grid on October 5, 2015, at 15:02 (MSK), it began setting of power.

As of 09:00 (MSK) October 6, the power unit ?3 is operating normally with capacity of 855 MW, it continues to set nominal level of capacity.

Recall, that the third power unit was shut down on October 3 with the provisional application to the system operator in connection with the storm warning of the MOE and rising of water levels in the Gulf of Finland.

The supply of electricity to consumers was not affected because of the unit shut down, the planned annual output of the Leningrad NPP continues to be in advance of the plan - 105.3%.

The Leningrad NPP has power units ?? 1, 3 and 4 operating at the moment, which bear the load of 3000 MW according to operations schedule. The second power unit is planned preventive repair. There are no comments to work of the equipment.

The radiation background is unchanged and corresponds to natural values on an industrial platform of the Leningrad nuclear power plant, in the city Sosnovy Bor and the surrounding territory.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Sosnovy Bor in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units with electric capacity of 1000 MWt each operate at the nuclear power plant.
