Kolskaya NPP: power unit ?4 put in reserve

The Kolskaya NPP power unit ?4 was disconnected from the network and placed into the reserve in connection with the dispatching restrictions on October 12 at 22:02. There are power units ??1, 2 and 3 in work at the moment. As of October 13, 2015 9:00 loading of the station is 1083 MW according to the dispatch schedule.

The radiation situation doesn't differ from natural natural background around an arrangement of the Kolskaya nuclear power plant and in a 30-kilometer zone of supervision.The level of background radiation in the area of the Kolskaua nuclear power plant is in the range of 0.07 - 0.10 mSv / h (microsieverts per hour).

The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in 200 km to the South from Murmansk on the shore of the Lake Imandra. It develops about 60% of the electric power in Murmansk region. There are 4 power units in operation with VVER reactors of 440 MW capacity each. The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is the supplier of the electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
