Kola NPP: the Final of the city contest, dedicated to the Great Patriotic War victory was held in Polyarnue Zori city.

A series of events, dedicated to the celebration of the 66th Victory anniversary, was opened in Polyarnue Zori city by the city project contest final ФThe Youth Heroic Deeds on the Homeland Salvation in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945У.

More than 60 pupils of the city schools, studying in 9 Р 11 grades, and students of industrial college No 18 took part in the contest. The contest final was held in the form of the projects upholding, where the scholars presented their researches results. The jury estimated the performance emotionality, the material discovered quantity, work with bibliography, the matiere usage, while performing the work.

According to the jury, the most interesting projects, worthy of the top place, were performances of gymnasium pupils Mikhail Prikhodko and Vladimir Kulikov. The second place was given to school No 4 pupils Kydryavtsev Dmitry, Smirnova Darya and Nikolin Ivan. Gymnasium No 1 pupils Muratova Anastasia, Nizhnik Tatyana and Vlasova Alesya took the merit certificates and prizes for the third place. The jury gave a separate prize to Muratova Anastasia for non-conventional approach to the topic choice and its original presentation.

ТThe purpose of this competition is the younger generation education of patriotism sense, regardful treatment of the senior generation, who stood up for our country and protected the mankind against fascism. Kola NPP has always paid attention to the youngest generation, the patriotism presence is a good recipe for the future education and working career successУ, Kola NPP Deputy Director Igor Kutuzov noted.

Kola NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located 200 km to the south of Murmansk on the bank of Lake Imandra. Power unit No.1 of Kola NPP was commissioned in 1973. Currently, the plant operates 4 power units with VVER-type reactors. Each reactor has capacity of 440 mW. Kola NPP supplies power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
