On April 14-15, 2011 a representative delegation of Belorussian power engineers visited Novovoronezh NPP-2 in accordance with the agreement on collaboration in construction of a nuclear plant on the territory of Belarus, signed on March 15, 2011 between the governments of the Russian Federation and Belarus Republic.

Representatives of Belarus NPP Construction Directorate, the Republic Gosstroynadzor, Ministry for Architecture and Construction, power industrial complex enterprises took part in it. Representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, Atomenergoproekt OJSC and Atomstroyexport CJSC took part in the events on the Russian part.

According to Atomstroyexport CJSC First Vice-President Alexander Dybov, now Novovoronezh NPP possesses the most up-to-date developments Р in the methods of construction, installation and etc. ТThis meeting is a great importance for us, and not accidentally we asked to organize it at this site, because the Belorussians do not have such an experience of nuclear plants constructionУ, he underlined.

The meeting, where the projects of new power units, being constructed at Novovoronezh site, were introduced to the guests, together with the problems appearing and the practices for their solution, and the object technical and technological safety, was held in the Directorate of Novovoronezh NPP-2 under construction. NV NPP-2 and Atomenergoproekt specialists answered the questions asked by the Belorussian colleagues in detail. The meeting participants visited the construction site of the nuclear plant under construction.

On the second day of the working visit after examination of the sites of construction preparation and organization, taking part in the construction of NV NPP-2, there was a discussion concerning the issues of environmental policy and safety, working with authorities and public, as well as many other problems.

Assessing the visit results, Director of Belarus Republic Nuclear Plant Construction Directorate GU Michail Filimonov said: ТNovovoronezh NPP has achieved incredible results. They can be seen even with unaided eyes. And the feedback we get is positive.
