Delivery of autonomous mobile equipment is the next stage of post-Fukusima measures aimed at improving stability of power plants and storage of spent nuclear fuel under extreme external influences. About 270 million rubles was directed for this aim.

Secondly, it is able to supply water, going to the pond to any depth".

Mobile system provides the readiness of the Smolensk NPP in the most unlikely extreme events. Even at full prolonged power loss of power units and damaged pumping equipment of safety systems, it will perform the task of restoring a safe state-controlled of reactor plant and storage of spent fuel.

Ninety-seven minutes is required in order to expand the range of pump-bag, put it into action and to supply water to a distance of 2,200 meters to the industrial site of the plant with flexible trunk pipeline from the open source.

As the Deputy Director Vladimir Minin said, defense provided at the Smolensk NPP can stay against external impacts of extreme natural and man-made, ready to timely and competent management of emergency situations. This was confirmed by the stress tests, multiple audits of the operating organization, the state corporation "Rosatom" and the supervisory authorities, public and self-checking.

Sleeve of the mobile system was mounted by the only one in the world two-ATV cross-country vehicle produced by MK "Vityaz" (Ishimbai, Bashkiria). Such machines with the highest capacity were used by the Soviet Union developing the Arctic and the vast desert. Pumping units were mounted on the chassis of the Nizhny Novgorod JSC "Transport".

The Smolensk nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The SNPP annually issues on the average about 20 billion kilowatts hours of the electric power into country power supply system, that constitutes about 13% of the energy, developed in ЗRosenergoatom ConcernИ, and more than 80% of the Smolensk region energy, developed by the power entities.
