On June 6, 2011 in Moscow, in Manezh Central Exhibition Hall there was a round table conference called ТNatural Disaster Resistance of Modern Reactor Plants. Fukushima LessonsУ organized within the framework of ТATOMEXPO-2011У International Forum.

First Deputy General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Vladimir Asmolov performed the duties of moderator of the Тround tableУ dedicated to natural disaster resistance of modern reactor plants.

Among those who took part in the Тround tableУ there was General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko, Chairman of WANO Laurent Stricker, as well as representatives of design and international organizations, Russian and foreign mass media.

The Тround tableУ participants were rendered reports on external hazard and accident management, resistance of different reactors in extreme conditions and so on. Representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern also made presentations: Deputy Director for HR management, social and administrative issues Alexander Krupsky (ТRussian Experience and Effective Practice of Focused Personnel Development of Nuclear Facilities of New Nuclear CountriesУ); First Deputy Director for NPP production and operation Oleg Chernikov (ТSafety Evaluation and Method of Extreme Condition Resistance of Russian NPPsУ).

According to Vladimir Asmolov, ТWe all Р designers of nuclear power plants, representatives of operating organizations, international organizations Р speak the same language, and in the project we must consider everything to make the accident like the one in Fukushima impossibleУ.

ТATOMEXPO-2011У International Forum will be closed on June 8, 2011.
