13 young specialists have been employed at Kalinin NP

Annually, the staff of Kalinin NPP (Tver region) is enriched by the graduates of the leading Russian higher educational power institutions. On April 14, 13 more young specialists were employed at the NPP due to the results of the traditional contest.

Director Leonid Ivanovich Martynovchenko and Acting Chief Engineer Grigory Nikolayevich Aleshin, heads of the departments and subdivisions of Kalinin NPP interviewed graduates from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Ivanovo, Obninsk profile higher educational institutions.

The choice of Kalinin NPP was not accidental for the young people: some of them had done practical training and externship there, and some had followed the advice of close relatives. For some of the young people benevolent and fascinated attitude of the nuclear plant administration to solution of their working and household problems was especially valuable.

Addressing to the young specialists with parting words at the end of the event, L. I. Martynovchenko said, in particular: ТYou were lucky in this life, because you have come to the branch, which will never stop in its development Р it will go ahead, and we will do the same together with it. We have a prospect. When you realize all the responsibility, the importance of the work you are seriously involved in, youХll be proud of the fact that youХve overcome such a way, that you have appeared at the NPP and work here. The feeling of the involvement in such a great business will give you pleasure and satisfactionУ. 

The young specialists will start their professional formation in reactor compartments Nos. 1 and 2, turbine compartment No. 2, department of radiation safety, and security service.

Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated in the north of Tver region in Udomlya district. Kalinin nuclear power plant comprises three operating power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) of 1,000 mW capacity each. Power unit No. 4 is under construction now and is to be commissioned in 2011.
