The last large size equipment of the reactor building of the power unit No 2 under construction was delivered to Leningrad NPP
Leningrad NPP under construction received the equipment airlock. This is the last large size equipment for the reactor building of the power unit No 2. The valuable cargo was delivered at the town pier of Sosnovy Bor from production location of Tyazhmash JSC. The transportation of the airlock was carried out with the use of automobile and water transport.

On 31 August, 2018, a technical support mission of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) has been completed at Smolensk NPP. On 28 August the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostekhnadzor) made amendments in the conditions of validity of the license for operation of Rostov NPP power unit No 2 (Volgodonsk, a subsidiary of Rosenergoatom JSC, a part of Rosatom’s Electric Power Division) that permit its industrial operation at the capacity level of 104% from nominal level.

The camera crew consisting of 2 people arrived to Russia for the creation of documental film about the history of the world’s nuclear power.

The Leningrad NPP under construction has completed the welding of the inner containment (ICS) structures of the reactor building of the power unit No 2.

VVER-1200 power unit No 1 of Leningrad NPP has successfully passed the final test and is ready for commissioning
Leningrad NPP has completed the unit complex tests. The new nuclear colossus of the generation 3+ with the VVER-1200 reactor unit has worked without any complaint throughout the entire period of testing. Within 15 days its equipment and systems has been operating safely, effectively, and reliably in full accordance with the project.
