Rosenergoatom JSC has opened a Business Lab for the Formation of New Products

On 22 August, 2018, the Rosatom Corporate Academy hosted the opening of a new project of the Rosenergoatom Business Development Unit, titled the Business Lab for the Formation of New Products.

A business lab is a system of step-by-step search for ideas and the new product formation. Teams of specialists from Balakovo, Kola and Novovoronezh NPPs participate in the pilot project.

Welcoming the participants at the Project’s first session in Moscow, the Deputy Director General - Business Development Director of the Company Nikita Konstantinov noted that the main objective of the Business Lab was to use the NPPs’ vast experience and potential to create new products for Russian and international markets.

“Developing new products is a successfully developing business direction for the JSC. Today the portfolio of the Integrator orders in the field of International NPP Service is about 2 billion dollars. The forecast for the Division order portfolio in 2018 – taking into account the contracts of other organizations included in the control assembly – is more than 3 billion dollars. We face the task to further diverse the business of the Electric Power Division, and therefore we’ve decided to launch a project that would involve three nuclear power plants. We really hope that this project will be successful, and we will have more new products. On its part, Rosenergoatom management promises full support to the project participants”, Nikita Konstantinov said.

The opening of the first session was also attended by the Director General of Rusatom Servis JSC Evgeniy Salkov, who stressed his interest in promoting new products to the foreign markets, and the Director of the Efficiency Improvement Department Pavel Kozlov, who on his part assured that all active participants of the project would be in one way or another noted by the management and personally by the Director General.

The program of the pilot project is in itself a new unique product developed on the Rosenergoatom’s request by the Rosatom Corporate Academy. It implies NPP teams’ training sessions will be alternated with field work in conjunction with the JSC central apparatus working group, which includes employees of the Business Development Unit, Technical Directorate and Rusatom Servis JSC. The expansion of the product portfolio will be considered a success.

The main goal is to satisfy the two strategic goals of Rosatom State Corporation: to increase the Corporation share in the international markets and to create new products for the Russian and international markets.
