9 experts from Ukraine, Russia and Bulgaria are conducting the second WANO Peer Review. The purpose of the event is to assess the progress of improvement in the areas that the 2016 Review pointed out in such fields as staff performance and human factor, improvement of production, maintenance and repair, fire protection, organization efficiency, personnel training, equipment reliability, project management at the NPP, maintenance of the chemical regime, operation management, emergency preparedness, radiation protection, etc.

The experts observe the execution of works, conduct interviews with managers and personnel at the departments, and analyse the documentation. The review will result in a report, which the experts will give to the Plant’s management.

“A new perspective, another point of view, on workplace issues is always useful”, the head of the team of experts Victor Livinsky, who have been working 34 years at the largest NPP in Europe– Zaporizhzhya NPP.

“The results of the Peer Review will contribute to the further improvement of the operational activities at Beloyarsk NPP”, the Manager of Beloyarsk NPP Ivan Sidorov, noted.
