Rostov NPP exceeded the plan of electric energy generation for June by 4.1% and the plan for the first half of the year by 2.1%

In June 2017, Rostov NPP produced 1 billion 520 million 100 thousand kWh of electric energy, with a plan providing only 1 billion 460 million kWh. Monthly overgeneration was 4.1%.

The capability utilization index in June was 70.37% with a plan of 67.59%.

In addition, Rostov NPP exceeded the half-year plan by 2.1%, generating 10 billion 592 million 300 thousand kWh of electric energy with a plan of only 10 billion 372 million kWh.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia approved the plan for electric energy generation for Rostov NPP in 2017 in the amount of 22 billion 940 million kWh of electric energy.

The Rostov NPP is an affiliate company for Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is based at the Tsymlianskoe reservoir shore 13.5 km away from Volgodonsk. The NPP operates VVER-1000 reactors with the installed capacity of 1000 megawatts. The power block No.1 commenced commercial operations in 2001, with the second and the third power blocks to follow in 2010 and on September 17, 2015, respectively. The power block No. 4 is currently under construction.
