The Rostov nuclear power plant: Knowledge Day at boarding school

At the Volgodonsk boarding school where about two hundred children with violations of the musculoskeletal device and children's cerebral paralysis live, study, there pass treatment and rehabilitation passed a solemn line devoted to Knowledge Day. Employees of the Rostov nuclear station also took part in it.

The Rostov nuclear power plant and pupils of the boarding school have a long friendship: the nuclear station assists through city charity foundation «Blagodareniye», also gives rehabilitation opportunity to sick children in the resort town of Anapa with a unique method of a delfinoterapiya, and children do themselves creative works for a traveling exhibition on the nuclear power plant. Young authors of the colourful pictures embroidered with beads, dagger or the smooth surface, executed of straw and other materials, already have the admirers among the personnel of the Rostov nuclear station.

This day on the solemn line devoted to Knowledge Day, the director of the Rostov nuclear power plant Andrey Salnikov addressed to pupils of school with such words: «Dear children, friends! I first of all congratulate first graders on this day as you should learn a lot of new and interesting. I congratulate those who goes oj the road of knowledge for more than one year. I wish all of you a good health, successes in study, sports, creativity. Please your parents and teachers with your successes. You should become competent and fair citizens of our country».

The Rostovskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. At nuclear station two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt are operated. The power unit No. 1 is put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010.
