The Rostov NPP: student construction teams (SCT) launched the "labor semester - 2015" at the construction site of power unit ?4

The "labor semester - 2015", which will last about two months, is held at the construction site of power unit ?4 of the Rostov nuclear power plant  and143 students will work (seven units) in it from the Rostov region, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Volgodonsk and the Republic of Adygea.

Helping builders, students will not only get job skills and first work experience, but also they get an opportunity to earn money. The students also will have various cultural and educational activities and sport events.

"Three years ago it all started with a small student construction brigades from Volgodonsk and now it is the main student construction site and the geography of the participants is the whole Russia. Power unit ?3, which now works and produces electricity, was built by construction teams too. We will promise and provide 70 construction units at the construction site of the power unit ?4 of the Rostov NPP in the year of the 70th anniversary of the nuclear industry!" - the Head of the regional headquarters of student construction brigades Roman Ukolov addressed to the students at the solemn line.

The tradition of the student buildings has renewed since 2012 in the Rostov region and the construction site of the Rostov nuclear power plant has been granted the status of a reference site of the "All-Russia student construction of nuclear power plants".

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. The power unit ?3 physical launch was in November 2014, energy launch - in December 2014. Power unit ?4 is being constructed.
