The Rostov NPP: power unit ?3 disconnected from the network, repair works carried out

The Rostov NPP power unit ?3, which is in pilot operation, was disconnected from the network by dispatcher’s application for scheduled repair works on June 24 at 23 o'clock. 20 min..
 
Audit of the power unit equipment employed in the pilot operation will be done as part of this overhaul.
 
The power unit ?3 is planned to start into commercial operation in 2015.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. The power unit ?3 physical launch was in November 2014, energy launch was in December 2014. The power unit ?4 is being constructed.
