The Leningrad NPP fulfilled its electricity production plan for the 1st half of 2015 on 103%

The Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", Leningrad region) has developed 14.404 billion kWh of electricity in January-June 2015, which is 102.97% of the planned target (13.988 billion kWh) and 107.5% of the corresponding figure for the 1st half of 2014 (13.393 billion kWh). The capacity factor (load factor) of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant amounted to 82.9% in January-June 2015 with the plan of 80.5%.

The power system was released 13,351 billion kWh of electricity in January-June 2015 by the Leningrad nuclear power plant, which is 103.46% of the planned target (12.904 billion kWh) and 108.2% comparing with the corresponding figure for the 1st half of 2014 (12.342 billion kWh).

As of July 1, 2015 the Leningrad NPP has produced 930.207 billion kWh of electricity since its launch.

Recall, that the planned target for the Leningrad NPP power generation in 2015 was determined as 26.6 billion kWh with an increase on 13.63% over the plan for 2014.

Also the Leningrad NPP has generated 476,088 Gcal of thermal energy in January-June 2015. In particular, the Leningrad nuclear power plant has released to its major customers for the 1st half of 2015:

- The SMUP "TSP" (heating and hot water supply in Sosnovy Bor) - 384 566.9 Gcal;

- The FSUE NITI - 48,506 Gcal;

- The FSUE "NPO" Radium Institute named after V.G. Khlopina and FSUE "RosRAO" - 5778 Gcal;

- The JSC "Ecomet" - 1 101.35 Gcal.

There are two power units (?? 2 and 3) in work at the moment at the Leningrad nuclear power plant, which carry the load of 1960 MW, according to operations schedule, (power unit ?1 and ?4 have been displayed into the scheduled preventive overhauls on April 4 and June 6, 2015, respectively).

The radiation background is unchanged and corresponds to natural values on an industrial platform of the Leningrad nuclear power plant, in the city Sosnovy Bor and the surrounding territory.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Sosnovy Bor in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units with electric capacity of 1000 MWt each operate at the nuclear power plant.
