The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant: the power unit No. 3 was switched on into a network after carrying out the repair

On September 11 at 17 h. 42 min. the power unit No. 3 of the Kalininskaya nuclear station was switched on into the network after carrying out the repair connected with elimination of the reasons for increased vibration of a turbogenerator (TG). The power unit was stopped on September 8 according to the permitted request of JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern".

As of 8.00 o'clock on September 12 there are four power units of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant in work. Their total loading constitutes 4161 MWt.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
