On September 10 on the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant the XIV Sports contest of nuclear power plant employees and contract organizations was started. It is timed for the 30-year anniversary of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant coming in May, 2014. The holiday of sports began with traditional parade and creation of teams at a stadium of the Sports and improving sports complex. Then athletes were welcomed by the director of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant M.Yu.Kanyshev and the chairman of primary trade-union organization I.V.Lisevtsev. They wished fair fight, victories over, new high achievements and records, health and successes to participants.

After the ceremony of the Sports contest flag raising, were the first starts of competitions on track and field athletics: runnings for men and women on 100 meters, broad jumps from a place and relay.

In total gold of the XIV Sports contest will be challenged by 8 national teams: teams of thermal automatic equipment and measurements shop, electroshops, shops of ventilation and conditioning, Security service of a body 3679, the combined teams "Turboatom+", "Impulse" and "Alliance" which structure included representatives of the shops' majority and divisions of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant, and also contract organizations - JSC "Kalininatomenergoremont", JSC "Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant Service", "Kalininatomtekhenergo" branch of JSC "Atomtekhenergo", Kalininskiy branch JSC "Konsist-OS" and the Central medical and sanitary part No. 141. Competitions will take place on 13 sports. Summing up and rewarding of winners will take place in the spring of 2014.

The organizer of the KNPP workers Sports contest and contract organizations is the  trade-union organization of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
