The 2nd Leningrad nuclear power plant: Career guidance lessons for future engineers

On the 2nd Leningrad nuclear power plant are being proceeded professional orientation actions for students of profile higher education universities for the purpose of further involvement of young specialists on the entity.

 On July 10 within cooperation between the 2nd Leningrad nuclear power plant and the St. Petersburg state institute of technology (technical university) the building site of replacement capacities was visited by students of chair of engineering radio ecology and radiochemical technology (IRRT).

 IRRT chair, being one of the basic Scientific and educational centers of Rosatom State corporation in system of the Higher School, issues skilled specialists in the field of nuclear and chemical technology, engineering radio ecology and the radiation safety, urged to ensure safe functioning of objects and the devices connected with radiation impact.

 Future engineers with an interest inspected a platform of construction of the 2nd Leningrad nuclear power plant, communicated to representatives of a by-product recovery department and department of environmental protection of branch, received answers to questions about water treatment and water purification systems on the nuclear power plant, methods of deactivation of systems and the equipment, safe handling of radioactive waste.
