Satellite towns of the Rostovskaya and Smolenskaya nuclear power plants - Volgodonsk and Desnogorsk were included into the list of the top ten cities with the most well-planned housing.

The rating of residential locations was constituted by "Finmarket" agency based on municipal statistics of Rosstat for 2010-2012.

With the start-up of the 2nd power unit of Rostovskaya nuclear power plant Volgodonsk has become the second largest energy center of the South of Russia, and today is the economic center of the South-East of Rostovskiy region.The construction of 8 apartment houses with 786 flats is planned to be built till 2020 in Volgodonsk.

Desnogorsk is also the satellite town of the Smolenskaya nuclear power plant where about 40% of the working population has jobs. Today it is the youngest and best equipped city in Smolenskiy region. All dwelling stock of the city on the technical and physical characteristics is capital and well-planned. In the IV quarter 2013 in Desnogorsk commissioning of 130 apartments is expected.
