Novovoronezh NPP: annual regional area competition has started in Novovoronezh
On June 2, 2011 annual regional area competition for the prize of ТLeather BallУ club was started in Novovoronezh. Three age groups: 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15 - take part in it.
The city of atomists was presented by three teams. Novovoronezh football players are to fight with the teams from the cities of Khokhol, Semiluki, and Ramoni.
A pleasant surprise was awaiting for the competition participants in its opening: secretary of the local department of ТUnited RussiaУ Party Gennady Roldugin presented the youngest participants with sports uniform with the party logotype.
Representatives of Novovoronezh NPP football club ТAtom-VeteransУ and also Deputy Chairman of Voronezh regional Duma Committee for education and youth policy, former worker of Novovoronezh NPP Nikolay Kucherenko took part in the solemn ceremony of the opening.
The competition for the prize of ТLeather BallУ club will be held for three days.
Novovoronezh is well known to the fans of great sports. The powermenХs achievements allow speaking of properly Novovoronezh School in a number of sports. These are track-and-field athletics and carting, basketball and motorsports, diving and karate, and many others. The sportsmen of the city of atomists won at the Olympics and World Championships and they got used to rising the stairs of victory podiums at the Championships of Russia. Not without reason Novovoronezh was several times recognized to be the best Тsports oneУ among the cities and municipal districts of Voronezh region. Novovoronezh NPP employees also contribute much to the sports achievements of their native city.
