Leningrad NPP: IX International Tournament on Mini-Football Completes with Victory of Rosenergoatom Select Team

The select team of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC won the IX International Tournament on Mini-Football among teams of the nuclear industry enterprises, which took place in Sosnovy Bor under the auspices of the International Sports Society Atom-Sport, from September 26 to 30. For the Russian teams, this victory has become the eighth in the history of the tournament since 2004.

Silver medals and a Cup for the 2nd place were taken by the team Kazatomprom from Kazakhstan. Bronze medals were won by the select team of another large enterprise of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, located in Sosnovy Bor, where work about 5 thousand people - FSUE A.P. Alexandrov Research and Development Technological Institute. The fourth were the Ukrainian athletes from the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom, the fifth Р NPP Paks (Hungary), the sixth Р a team of the Central Fund of Social Activities of Workers of the Energy and Gas Industry of France (CCAS). 



With special prizes were noted Jean-Francois Cara (CCAS, France) Р ТThe Most Valuable PlayerУ, Konstantin Ksenzov (Rosenergoatom) Р ТThe Best GoalkeeperУ, Tibor Balogh (Paks NPP) Р ТThe Youngest PlayerУ, Leonid Mandreychuk (NNEGC Energoatom) Р a prize for the best goal. The select team of A.P.Alexandrov RDTI received an award for the debut of the year. Ramil Yusupov (Kazatomprom), who scored 9 goals at the tournament, was recognized as the best player and was awarded with a prize Р one-week holidays in Marocco.

At the solemn closing ceremony of the tournament, the athletes were congratulated by Advisor to Deputy General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, Oleg Zheltov, President of the International Sports Society Atom-Sport, Valentin Ilyin, and Chairman of the tournamentХs organizational committee, Deputy Director of Leningrad NPP for Staff Management, Oleg Karpenko. They awarded the athletes with the team Cups, the official representatives Р with certificates and memorable plaques, and prizes with the tournamentХs symbols and gift books about the nuclear energy of Russia.  

ТLeningrad nuclear power plant has raised the bar of organization of sports events higher,У thanked the organizers Gennady Kuzmin Р Chairman of the Central Committee of the Trade Union of workers of the nuclear and related industries of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ТDuring the tournament the participants managed to compete not only for the sports awards: a rich excursion program to the gloried suburbs of St. Petersburg and the Northern Capital itself was organized for them. Employees of nuclear power plants from various countries made friends, started useful contacts and gained great experience in holding of competitions.У

President of the International Atom-Sport, Valentin Ilyin, noted the growing excitement around the tournament among the countries, which wish to hold it at home: ТA decision on the next tournament hosting country is still pending; we already have some wishing, for which such events are of great importance. Professional communities of various countries share experiences, search new forms of sports development at their enterprises. All these days we have seen grandstands of the sports complex, which hosted the games, full of crowd. A corporate sports has always been and remains very popular in the cities of nuclear enterprises.У
