Leningrad NPP: 2.277 bln kWh of electric power was generated in May

According to the results of May, 2011 Leningrad NPP produced 2.277 bln kWh of electric power, that was 32 mln kWh more than for the similar period of the previous year. 2.102 bln kWh of electric power was supplied to the energy system.

As of June 1st, altogether since the current year 12.198 bln kWh of electric power has been generated (10.870 bln kWh was generated for the similar period of the previous year).

In May, at the plant the utilization factor of maximal capacity (KIUM) also exceeded the corresponding utilization factor of the last year and was equal to 76.52% (in May, 2010 it was equal to 75.45%).

In May, the boiler room of Leningrad NPP supplied Sosnovy Bor city and its industrial enterprises with 206.52 thousand of cubic meters of hot water and 42 thousand gC of heat.

Leningrad NPP department of water supply provided the city and the region industrial enterprises with 761.5 thousand cubic meters of drinking water. The department of supplying systems sent to the customers 114 tones of liquid live oxygen and 18.3 tones of liquid nitrogen.

At present Leningrad NPP is operating three power units Р Nos. 1, 2 and 4 in normal mode. According to the dispatch schedule, they carry the load of 3,085 mW. Power unit No. 3 is under scheduled repair. 

The radiation background at Leningrad NPP and in the area of its location corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
