Leningrad II: Meeting of Project Operations Centre at Building Site
November 7, 2012 Р A regular meeting of the project operations centre on the construction of the first and second units chaired by Viktor Suchkov, Deputy General Director - Capital Construction Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, and Yuri Galanchuk, Director of Leningrad II, took place at the building site of Leningrad II.
Participants of the project operations centre made a check of the building site and gave an estimation to the works performed in October, noting the installation of ten reinforced facing blocks of the inside containment from the level +22.00 to the level +34.20, and completion of reinforcing of the outer containment till the level +19.50 on the reactor building of Unit 1; installation of 92% of roof trusses from the 12th to the 1st axes, erection of the travelling crane on the turbine building of Unit 1; concreting of the 65th tier of Cooling Tower 2 of Unit 1 till the level +103.75. Four reinforced facing blocks of the inside containment were installed on the reactor building of Unit 2 from the level -1.25 to the level +9.40. On the turbine building of Unit 2, there is completed concreting of the floor at the level +15.90. Works on the installation of walls and columns above the level +15.90 have been carried out.
The issues of the preparation to the works in the winter period, fulfillment of the schedule of delivery of equipment, provision of design specifications and estimates and so on have been discussed at the meeting.
According to the schedules of inspections, in October at the site of Leningrad II, the inspection services checked fire security and industrial safety. The work on improving the personal safety culture of construction workers is underway.
At the meeting, there were defined the tasks for November, 2012, including: submission of the schedule and subject plan of the construction and installation operations for 2013, installation of the supplied equipment according to the schedule, and completion of the commissioning of the general contractorХs building.
Currently, at the construction site of Leningrad II, the operations are conducted at 111 projects. The number of construction workers is 2,274 people.
Next meeting of the project operations centre in terms of the construction of Leningrad II will take place in December.
Construction of Leningrad II is a part of long-term activities program of Rosatom State Corporation. The property developer of the project is Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.
The general contractor of the project is FGUP GUSST No.3 under Spetsstroy of Russia. The general designer is the engineering company JSC SPbAEP (member of the integrated company JSC Atomenergoprom).
On June 11, 2008 Rostekhnadzor issued a license (No.GN-02-101-1860) for the construction of Unit 1 of Leningrad II (valid until 03/31/2018). On July 15, 2009 Rostekhnadzor issued a license (No.GN-02-101-2148) for the construction of Unit 2 of Leningrad II (valid until 07/14/2019). In April 2010, Rostekhnadzor issued licenses (No. GN-01-101-2344 and No.GN-01-101-2345) for the siting of Units 3 and 4 of Leningrad II.
