On October 25, 2013 at 17 o'clock in the city of Roslavl of the Smolensk region will take place public hearings on preliminary materials of an environmental impact assessment (EIA) of construction and operation of objects according to the address with radioactive waste (OYaT) and the fulfilled nuclear fuel (RJSC) Smolenskoy AES.

This action will be organized by administration of the Roslavlsky area at the initiative of JSC ЗRosenergoatomИ Concern.

Designers, specialists of the Smolensk nuclear power plant will take part in hearings in the field of operation and safety, representatives of JSC ЗRosenergoatomИ Concern, administration of the Roslavlsky area, supervisory authorities, health cares, the state, public and independent environmental organizations, inhabitants of the region, mass media.

Public hearings is a procedure, obligatory for receipt of the state license for implementation of these or those activities in a nuclear industry. They become an important stage of works complex on reasons for commissioning of objects according to the address from Russian joint stock company and OYaT, important for further safe and reliable operation of the Smolensk nuclear power plant.

Since September 9, 2013 all wishing could have studied the specification and preliminary materials EIA of planned activities in the central library of Roslavlya, the building of Administration of the Roslavlsky area and on a site www.roslavl.ru.

During hearings any participant has an opportunity to make the independent statement, to ask questions and to receive on them answers both in oral, and in written forms.

The Smolensk nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". SAES annually issues in a country power supply system on the average about 20 billion kilowatts of hours of the electric power that constitutes about 13% of the energy developed in Rosenergoatom concern, and more than 80%, the Smolensk region made by the power entities.
