Awarding of Nuclear Industry Honored Veterans at Novovoronezh NPP
On October 5, 2012 in the convention room of Novovoronezh City Council, there was held a presentation of awards to 22 veteran movement activists Р the honored veterans of Novovoronezh NPP.
The participants of this presentable meeting were employees of workshops and divisions of the nuclear power plant, veterans of the nuclear industry, representatives of the city Administration and deputies of the City Council.
For the long service, professional success and contribution to the development of the industrial veteran movement, members of the veteran organization of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, were awarded with the distinctions of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, they were: Nikolay Komar, Ivan Kustov and Nikolay Maksimov awarded with the First Class badge ТFor the Services to the Nuclear IndustryУ; Yuli Meremyanin and Vitali Sedov awarded with the Second Class badge ТFor the Services to the Nuclear IndustryУ.
Vasily Zhirov, Fedor Kovalevich, Viktor Meshalkin, Mikhail Peredereyev and Iraida Yurlova were awarded with the Certificates of Merits of the Interregional Public Veteran Organization of Rosenergoatom Concern for the personal contribution to the nuclear industry development, active participation in the veteran movement and the 10th anniversary of the Interregional Public Veteran Organization of Rosenergoatom Concern. The Letters of Gratitude were sent to Galina Bachinskaya, Anatoly Bashkatov, Alexey Yerusov, Anatoly Kuchin, Anatoly Titov and Vladimir Tsyganov. Margarita Britareva, Vladimir Istomin, Viktor Kolesnikov, Stanislav Osikin and Ilya Pasynkov were awarded with the Certificates of Merit of Rosenergoatom Concern.
Director of Novovoronezh nuclear power plant, Vladimir Povarov, presented to the veterans rewards and gifts with the most sincere wishes for health, happiness and well-being. Also those veterans, who worked in divisions before leaving for well-deserved rest, were not forgotten Р they received flowers and gifts.
Head of Novovoronezh city Administration, Sergey Chestikin, also congratulated the honorees. He assured that the nuclear engineersХ city would become more beautiful and comfortable due to the joint fruitful work of the Administration and nuclear power plant.
Novovoronezh NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated on the bank of the Don river at 42 km south of Voronezh. It is the first NPP in Russia, which operates reactors of VVER-type (Vessel type Pressurized Water Reactor with light water under pressure). Each of the five plant reactors are prime Р a prototype of serial power reactors: No.1 power unit operates on VVER-210-type reactor, No.2 power unit Р VVER-365, No.3,4 power units Р VVER-440, No.5 power unit Р VVER-1000.
The radiation background in the plantХs area and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power unitsХ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
