Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom, the Electric Power Division of the Rosatom State Corporation) increased power generation by 1.21% over the seven months of 2022 in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Generation from January to July amounted to more than 129 billion kilowatt-hours, or 102.74% of the balance target of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia. Therefore, since the beginning of the year, about 3.5 billion kWh have been generated in excess of the FAS balance target.

The work of all Russian NPPs for seven months of this year made it possible to prevent emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere in the amount of more than 63 million tons of CO2 equivalent.

Generation in July amounted to more than 16.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity (as of August 1, 2022).

The share of power generation by nuclear power plants in Russia is about 19%.
