Rosenergoatom: Russian nuclear power plants increased power generation by almost 2.96% in February 2022

Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom, the Electric Power Division of Rosatom) increased power generation by almost 2.96% in two months of 2022 in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

The output for this period of this year amounted to more than 38 billion kilowatt-hours or 102.21% of the balance task of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia. Therefore, since the beginning of the year, more than 1.537 billion kWh have been generated in excess of the FAS balance target.

February generation amounted to over 18 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.

The operation of all Russian NPPs for two months of 2022 made it possible to prevent emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmospheric air in the amount of more than 19 million tons of CO2 equivalent (as of 01.03.2022).
