Russian NPPs increased output by 3.4% in 10 months of 2021

Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom) increased electricity output by 3.4% in 10 months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.

The output in January-October of this year amounted to almost 181.2 billion kilowatt-hours, which is 2.35% higher than the balance target of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.

Electricity output at NPPs in excess of the FAS balance target for this period amounted to 4.15 billion kWh.

Thanks to the operation of the nuclear power plant for 10 months of 2021 the amount of more than 90 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions were prevented.
