The Russian NPPs have successfully completed the governmental order on the electric power production of over 201.3 billion kilowatt-hours

On December 27, the Russian NPPs (the affiliate companies of the Rosenergoatom Joint-Stock Company) have fully completed the governmental order on the electric power production for 2018 and the balance order from the Federal Antimonopoly Service, with the total output exceeding 201.3 billion kilowatt-hours.

At the moment, the share of the nuclear power generation in the total power balance of the country is over 18.7% of the total electric power output of Russia. That said, each fifth light bulb in the Russian Federation is powered by nuclear power plants.

The nuclear power plants operated by Rosenergoatom Joint-Stock company are high-achieving thanks to the effective and sustainable operations to meet the NPPs’ power blocks load curve, the optimization of the maintenance activities time lines, and improved efficiency of the power blocks.

The radiation situation within the area of the nuclear power plants’ location hasn’t changed, and it remains within the natural background radiation.
