Rosatom’s project implemented together with Rosenergoatom JSC received an award in the area of communications Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards

Bolshaya progulka project of Rosatom State Corporation became a winner of the prestigious award in the area of communications Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards in the category of the Best project that corresponds to the international standards. In addition, Rosatom’s project was in a number of the award finalists in the category of the Best international project. Awarding ceremony was held in Moscow on 6 December at the site of Rossiya Segodnya.

Bolshaya progulka project was implemented by joining forces of Communication Department of Rosatom State Corporation, Information and Public Relations Department of Rosenergoatom JSC and Communication Department of Rusatom – International Network.

The communication project Bolshaya progulka included the informational campaign and a number of public events that accompanied the towage of the innovative floating nuclear power unit (FPU) Akademik Lomonosov from St. Petersburg to Murmansk. The campaign attracted a wide attention of the Russian and foreign media. During the campaign PR specialists of Rosatom made an open discussion platform with environment organizations.

The project tasks were the usage of news topic for positioning of Rosatom State Corporation as the world’s technological leader in the area of nuclear technologies; decreasing of radiophobia risks; increasing of public information on the transportation of the FPU and the technology itself; attraction of attention to the FPU project of the potential customers at the international market.

In the category of the Best project that corresponds to the international standards Rosatom had such projects-competitors as BMW Opera without Borders of world’s auto giant BMW implemented in partnership with Ketchum Agency, the project SkillsLatvia 2018 of State Education Development Agency of Latvia and Repute, as well as Сroatia je Hrvatska of Сroatia Insurance and Milenium promocija. In the category of the Best international project Rosatom’s project competed with two Russian projects – “Futbol dlya druzhby” of Gazprom PJSC and AGT Agency (Moscow) and “Choose your future, make the world better” of People’s Friendship University of Russia and PR Inc. (Moscow).

This year, 13 applications from 13 countries of the world took part: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Croatia and Estonia. The jury chose the winners in five sets of collective nominations, several personal nominations, as well as a prize-winner of Gran-Prix of the award.

Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards is the most prestigious award in the area of communication in the Eastern Europe. It is a regional partner of IPRA GWA award, an international contest established in 1990 by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). The award Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards was established in 2011 and is included in the highest Grade (А) of the national rating of communicative companies НР2К. Eventiada IPRA GWA distinguishes the best projects implemented by corporations, state and public organizations, as well as youth projects and projects made by students. The organizers of Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards are the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Association of Managers (AMP), Lomonosov Moscow State University’s Faculty of Philosophy, Russian State Social University (RSSU) and Orta Communications Group. The contest is supported by the Ministry of Health of the RF, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources of the RF, RAOS academy, RASO and AKOS associations, FleishmanHillard Vanguard and Elefante agencies.

The floating power unit (FPU) Akademik Lomonosov of 20870 design is the main project of a series of mobile transportable power units of low capacity. The FPU is designed to work as a part of the floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) and represents a new class of energy sources on the basis of Russian technologies of the nuclear ship building. This is a unique and the world’s first projects of the mobile transportable power units of low capacity. It is designed to be operated in the regions of the Extreme North and the Far East and its main purpose is to provide the energy supply to the remote industrial enterprises, port cities, as well as gas or oil platforms situated in the open sea. In April-May 2018 the FPU was towed from Baltiyskiy Zavod (St. Petersburg) to Atomflot FGUP in Murmansk. Such operation was carried out for the first time in history. Apart from technical tasks there were tasks of information of public and the international environment organizations of Baltic region countries in order to carry out the transportation operation in conditions of trust and cooperation with international partners.
