Rostov NPP: students visited the nuclear power plant construction site

A group of first-year students of construction vocational school from Tsimlyansk visited Rostov NPP construction site.

There the future builders saw the working conditions and learn about the erected facilities of the 3rd and the 4th power units of RoNPP, including evaporative cooling towers which will be the biggest in Russia.

The children also visited the nuclear power plant information centre where they met the enterprise director Alexander Palamarchuk. The NPP specialists told the students about its operation and explained why it was the most environmentally sound enterprise producing electric power.

As explained by industrial trainer of the school Alla Malaya, in the school the children are taught professions which are demanded at the nuclear power plant construction site, that’s why it was useful for them to learn about the principles of its operation.

The children themselves also noted that it was possible to work in the specialty and have a decent salary not far from home. And if before someone had doubted in the value of the future profession, there were no doubts left after the excursion to the NPP.
