Rosenergoatom Concern was recognized as the most innovative company among the enterprises of energy industry of Russia

Rosenergoatom Concern JSC was reckoned among the country’s most innovative companies according to national IT-Leader Award*, and it has become the most innovative company among the enterprises of energy industry of Russia following the results of 2016.

XV Awarding Ceremony of annual national IT-Leader Award was held in Moscow on 20 April, 2017 in the format of a private club for senior officers and top-managers of the largest organizations.

The winners in 20 main nominations were defined by online voting; 15,000 voters have been taking part in it for a month. The companies and CIOs that got to a new level of efficiency due to the most innovative IT-projects became the awardees. Rosenergoatom Concern is among them, it was awarded for its active raising of efficiency and unique IT-projects implemented in 2016.

Commenting on such a significant win, the Director of IT-project Management and Integration Department of Rosenergoatom Concern  Oleg Shalnov noted: “Due to the projects on implementation of enterprise’s centralized control system on the basis of SAP ERP in all the branch companies of Rosenergoatom, as well as to the projects on technical documentation archive creation, on construction monitoring, and many others we have managed to get our company to a new development level - having increased the data reliability inside the company – and provide the information openness of the Concern. We are glad that our work has been appraised by so many people.”


It is to be recalled that in 2016 the Concern put into pilot operation the integrated f system configuration on enterprise management on the basis of SAP or all the branches and now more than 4.5 thousand users work in this system.
Also, the specialists of all the NPPs (the Concern’s branch companies) completed the implementation of the integrated system of personnel management on the basis of SAP HCM, the basic functionality was realized. The automated system of personnel skill maintenance was implemented at 5 NPPs.

In addition, the technical documentation archive was created that regulates the provision of NPP power units’ safe operation. The implementation was made within the framework of automated system of technical documentation management (ASTDM). In the end of 2016 more than 3.5 thousand Concern’s employees worked in ASTDM; and more than 280,000 technical documents were placed in the system.

Then, the integrated industrial system of electronic document management system (IISEDMS) was completed at all the NPPs. In 2016 there were more than 11,000 of connected users of the Concern.

To provide the members of NPP construction projects with exact and up-to-date information it is necessary to identify risks and take effective management decisions in terms and costs regulation, as well as to increase the efficiency of capital object construction, the Automated system of object construction monitoring and the Information system of project portfolio management are being created and implemented.

Also, in 2016 in partnership with Rostelekom PJSC, Rosenergoatom Concern continued to implement the project of construction the Supporting Data Processing Centre (SDPC) that can become the biggest in the country and one of the biggest in Europe. The completion of DPC’s first phase construction near Kalinin NPP is planned for 2017.

*National annual IT-Leader Award has been awarded since 2002. More than 300 CIOs of the largest Russian companies and key bodies of state authorities were awarded through the years. The organizational committee of the Award consists of the Association of Managers, IBusiness web portal, Dengi and iOne (PH Commersant) magazines, Intelligent Enterprise, and KROK Company. The advisory council includes the 4CIO.Ru Club, the SPb CIO Club (Saint Petersburg CIO Club), the Ural ASU professionals Club, the Central Federal District Club of CIOs ya-IT-y.


The Rosenergoaton Concern (the power division of the Rosatom State Corporation) includes 10 Russian nuclear power stations bearing the status of the Concern’s affiliate companies, along with the vendors catering for the needs of the generation company. All in all, the 10 nuclear power stations operate 35 power blocks* (*excluding the Novovoronezh NPP’s 6th power block being at the pilot production stage): 18 of them operate VVER reactors (12 VVER-1000 power blocks and 5 VVER-440 power blocks of different modifications); 15 of them with channel reactors (11 power blocks with RMBK-1000 reactors, four power blocks with EGP-6 reactors); and 2 power blocks with fast neutron sodium cooling reactors (BN-600 and BN-800).
At the moment, the Rosenergoatom NPPs account for 18.6% of the whole electricity output in the
country.
